Hi there!

My name is Marc (or Marcal), I'm 29. I live in Zurich, Switzerland at the moment, and currently am in transition to my next job, as a recruitment manager. I got into that job because I'm very people-focused, and love to meet new personalities, hear their stories and share ways of thinking and living. There is so much we can learn from others and always room to grow as a person.

As I know that my next job will take most of my freedom to travel openly from September onwards, I want to make the best out of my last month of vacations, and do something that I want to get into in the future: Sailing. I plan in the next years to pass my license and want to learn as much as possible already. I have always been fascinated by the water, especially after becoming a certified advanced scuba diver and I want to give back the marine life in the long term, by helping with marine conservation for instance. It is a long journey ahead, but I am sure a beautiful one.

You might be wondering what I can bring to the table? So let me tell you more about who I am. After my studies, I went to the army for a year, and traveled another one after that where I did my first Workaway experience (teaching English in a language café in South Korea). After visiting many countries in South East Asia, I went to study hospitality management at a university in Switzerland. I learned about cooking, housekeeping, serving, etc. but also about finance, marketing, management, and more. Then, I dug into my professional career as a recruiter, and am moving the ladder slowly. Outside of the job, I am a snowboard instructor, fitness lover, music fan, dancing dreamer, scuba diver and the list continues! I'm a very open-minded and sociable person, a hard worker, and a life admirer. I'm always trying to always see the positive in life and never complain; life's too short for that, isn't it? ;)

But of course, words are words and the only true way to have a grasp on who I am is to have a proper conversation So feel free to let me know and I can organize a call or so. Hope we will share some adventures soon, take care!
