As an Industrial design engineering student, we get 2 months to do something out of the scope: I chose an experience abroad, to get out of my comfort zone, and go do a workaway:)

Beschreibung

Hi everyone:) My name is Maelle, I'm a 21 year old, half french and hungarian. I am currently studying Industrial Design Engineering in the Netherlands. I love travelling, discovering new places and meeting new people. I have mainly 2 hobbies: art, as I am very creative (design study, drawing, painting, arts and crafts, music, etc), and sports. (I love climbing, running, skiing).

What brings me happiness? Helping and caring for the ones I love. Very generic answer, I know, but I truly value what I care about. This passion thrives my organizational and proactive side.

Next academic year, I'll be doing part of my studies abroad. For this, I need to find volunteering work. I have heard great things about workaway from friends, so I can't wait to try it out myself!

As a bilingual thanks to my parents, I have been eager to visit the world and learn English. That's why I decided to spend a year in the United States, to deepen my knowledge on the language. I then decided to study in English by moving to another country. (The Netherlands) I would love to share my teaching skills by teaching English in schools if I get the opportunity to.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I consider myself to be mainly organized and creative. My passion for art drives me to find new solutions and I'd like to think that I'm very much forward thinker. I have lived abroad multiple times, making me comfortable to work in different cultures.

As much as I love the things I'm good at (Design, creativity, being good around kids, teaching english...) I am open to new experiences, and would love to experience your country's culture.

So more about the teaching experience. I have helped multiple times students from middle school with their English homework, and have been a teacher's assistant at my university for the sketching courses for a year now. I really enjoy helping others, and giving out to people what I know.

More specific hobbies not yet mentioned include: interior design, (I take great care of my room and the arrangement of it ahah) baking (cookies all the way), plant care (80 percent of my room), and fashion (I thrift my clothes, and love to arrange outfits). :)
