Hi there, it's Madlaine from Germany. I'm a big fan of traveling which is why I opened a Workaway Account.
I think it's a great opportunity to meet locals, help you with everything that needs to be done and get some nice impressions of farm life in exchange.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have already worked in kitchens and a cleaning company in Canada but I'm also very interested in working outdoors at farms. In the past, I could already gain some experience in horsecaring and ranching while working on a guest ranch in the Canadian prairie.
Before my Gap Year in Canada I was working at an Equestrian center in Germany where I also helped with harvesting and teaching riding lessons to kids.
I really like caring for people, no matter how old but I can easily stay by myself as well and just do some quiet, enduring work. If I have a project that I find interesting I sometimes forget time and focus on getting it done as fast and accurate as possible. My skills also lie in handiwork such as painting, fixing things or gardening. In October I'm going to start studying agriculture so I'm open to learn anything about it really.
My last work place was a ski resort in Austria where I worked as a receptionist/waitress for a 5*-hotel which is why communicating with guests is one of my favorites.
When it comes to social media or web design I would not be the greatest help unless it's about text producing. I really like writing in general and putting things into right words.
