Beschreibung

Hi, we are Yohann (26 years) and Mélanie (27 years), both french engineers in energetic field and we decided to travel for one year. The date of the beginning of our adventure is September 2024 !

We will be happy to meet people, share experiences, discover some new countries, have fun and help you in your daily life.

We love :
- Working with animals. Mélanie rides horses for 12 years, has the French diploma called "Galop 5" and has already done a workaway in 2019 in England to help a family with 3 horses. It was amazing !
- Living as self-sufficient as we can. So we would be very happy to share with you about this topic !
- Hiking/ Skiing/ Trailing/ Doing sports
- Being surrounded by nature. We hope to live in countryside or in mountain after this trip.
- Cooking (Yohann makes some bread and Mélanie some pastry)
- Gardening
- Being outside
- Living in a farm
- Reading
- Travelling
- Dancing

Our goal for this year of travelling is to :
- Help in a farm. Discover how to take care of cows or reindeers, maybe do some cheese of goats or ewes, do some gardening
- Work with horses as we want to have one or more later
- Live with huskies in winter and train them. Learn about how to sled.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

We are autonomous and very sporty, so a physical work will not be a problem.
We love animals and work outdoor. Mélanie is independent with horses and starts to teach Yohann about that. She knows how to muck out, feed horses, put water, clean the tack, put hay inside, check and repair fences etc.
We know about gardening and growing vegetables. Yohann is used to driving tractors.
We enjoy cooking.
Yohann knows how to mow the lawn, look after the garden, trim the hedges, mix concrete and make small foundations such as concrete blocks. He has already built a small wooden garage with a tin roof and photovoltaic panels.
He knows how to lay parquet and linoleum, paint walls and apply wallpaper, assemble furniture and do a few small odd jobs like basic electrical and plumbing connections.
Yohann will be very happy to learn news skills in construction field.

Was noch ...

We enjoy a lot nature. Living far from a city doesn't mind if we can practice some bike, running, riding horses or walks during our free-time in beautiful landscapes.
On the other hand, we enjoy also visiting cities.
