Beschreibung
Hi my name is Ben and I am currently looking for Workaway projects near Hobart as I have just moved here to be closer to family :)
I am Australian/Scottish and grew up in the South of France. I returned to Australia to complete my university degree in International Business and Tourism Marketing. Since then, I have mainly been working in Hotels and travelling.
I travelled for 8 months throughout Europe where I had the opportunity to do a variety of Workaway projects such as working on an organic farm in France, set up an eco camp in Montenegro, help out with animals and gardening in Slovenia.
After travelling I moved to Scotland, where i was initially based on the Isle of Skye which allowed me to do a number of amazing hikes in the area.
I moved down to Cornwall in England in January and have been working as a night manager in a hostel and also working in a Belgian pub in town. Cornwall has been a great place to do coastal walks and surf.
I then travelled around South America for 9 months where i got to volunteer in a hostel in the south of Chile which catered to hikers exploring the national park of Torres del Paine. I also volunteered at an eco hostel on the coast of Argentina for a month and half. When moving up to Costa Rica i volunteered at a dog sanctuary for two weeks.
After that i moved to New Zealand where i have been living the last year and a half. During my time there i did sections of this long distance hike called the Te Araroa which was an amazing experience.
I am now in Tasmania to be closer to family on the West Coast but am hoping to live near Hobart and find work ! I thought it would be a good idea to join a workaway project to get a feel for the area before committing to moving here long term.
