Hi everyone!
We are Lisanne (F, 29) and Vadim (M, 32), a Dutch-Russian couple previously based in the Netherlands, who embarked on a once-in-a-lifetime world trip in January 2024. The decision to leave behind our jobs and break free from the weight of material possessions was not easy, but the liberation we have felt since then is indescribable.
We've bid farewell to our house, sold all our belongings, and embraced the unknown with open hearts. Since then, we have discovered true joy in the fascinating new surroundings and the incredible people we encounter along the way. This global journey is not just about personal exploration; it is an opportunity for us to broaden our perspectives, enhance our skills, and bring a variety of new experiences. It is also an opportunity to contribute to the world in new ways by engaging in volunteer work and sharing our knowledge with those in need. This is why we are on Workaway!
Lisanne is a passionate foodie with a Master's degree in Agricultural Technology and over five years of experience in the food and ingredient industry. She’s an amateur baritone saxophonist, book lover, planning mastermind, and life enthusiast.
Vadim is a tech-savvy problem solver with a Master's degree in Economics and Statistics and over seven years of experience in IT consulting and analytical research. One of his key specialties is teaching and knowledge sharing. Vadim is an amateur guitarist and music collector, passionate about spending time in the nature and meditating.
During our world trip, we are excited to find volunteering options where we can have a positive personal contribution, while connecting with new people, sharing ideas and experiences, as well as trying to make a difference together.
