Beschreibung

As a couple we have been fortunate to have travelled to some amazing countries. We love seeing all parts of the world. The travel bug has been alive in Linda for many years, Richard is catching up fast. We mostly enjoy experiencing different cultures and to connect with the people at our destinations. What makes them tick, how do they see and experience the world and what do (and don’t) we have in common.

We are looking foward to combining our love for travel with contributing our skills to help others. Every bit helps and it gives us the opportunity to really connect with other cultures. In a much better way than just visiting a specific country.

Richard has been working in primary education his entire career, teaching is his passion. His teaching skills can come in handy for all ages. His energy matches that of young children and his patience is unmatched. Linda’s experience lies more in the administrative fields. Project management, planning and mostly communication and marketing. English comes as a second language to us both and we are always happy to share our knowledge.

We both do not mind getting our hands dirty, are very versatile and easy going. Need help with gardening, basic renovations or help around the house? No problem! As long as we are doing meaningful work and helping others, We’re game. Along the way we would love to get to know the hosts better and get a good feel about day to day life at our destination. One of our shared passions is cooking, in which Linda brings the flavour and Richard the flair.

Mostly we’re interested in off the grid places or destinations that are not overly crowded with tourists. We highly prefer a more authentic experience. In the end we would love to share our knowledge with others, either with hosts or with fellow workaway'ers. Always happy to help, just get in touch!

We have gained a lot of experience, and are also still learning. Linda has worked in marketing and HR, focussing on strategy, planning and how to get the best out of everyone involved. Richard is a energetic primary school teacher.

* Linda helps out in the vegetable garden of her parents (so knows the difference between weeds and new growth)

Was noch ...

We have quite some hobbies in common. Like reading good books, cooking and watching movies together. We are both very active persons. Richard likes to conquer obstacle courses for fun and Linda lets a personal trainer drag her to the gym for either fitness or kickboxing.

As we are both very entrepeneurial we like to experience new things. Like snorkling with sharks or jumping off a mountain with a parachute. Scary, but fun!

Lastly we are suckers for very good coffee, nothing (almost) beats a good espresso!
