Hello there, Leslie here :)

Where to start... What you'll probably quickly notice about me is, that I am a genuienly happy human being with a positive attitude who likes to joke around (I can be shy at first ;)). I like a crowd as much as I like some quiet time. Cooking, reading, yoga and taking long walks or hiking is a way of meditating and relaxing for me. I enjoy listening to music, dancing and singing, watching movies or series, exploring the unknown and thus making new experiences and being in exchange with other people and learning from them as well as sharing what I have learned in this life so far.

With a father living in France and a mother living Switzerland, I appreciate different cultures and being able to speak various languages (German, Swiss German, French and English; I am currently learning to speak Spanish :D). I am a US Citizen and have lived in Newport RI once with my mother which I loved. We travelled the west coast which I loved even more, and then and there, I decided I one day want to live in California. So now I am slowly getting there and am really exited to make new life experiences in the US! :D

As I am very curious, I have a lot of different work experience; I trained as an educator and work in day care. I also work as a barkeeper and in the kitchen of a salon theater. I worked on a farm with milk cows, horses and a lot of farmland and as an ambassador for a clean environment, as well as a cleaner of an office. So if you have hedges to cut, weeds to weed, minor repairs to do, cows to milk, dust to vacuum, something tasty to cook, or children to look after and can offer me a room, a yurt or a trailer in return, then we could help each other out wonderfully.
I work well in a team, as well as on my own. Also, I am not a smoker :)

I started learning Spanish last fall. It would be lovely to stay with hosts, able to teach me Spanish, or spend time with other volunteers that are spanish speakers. It is no must though.
