Hello :) My name is Laura and I'm 21 years old and I come from Bratislava, Slovakia. I would describe me as a positive, free-spirited girl, as people call me, who laughs a lot and likes to discover places.

I have many interests, but my most loved ones include art, travelling and nature/simple living. Since I was a child I traveled a lot with my parents including Australia/Asia/Europe and little of Africa.

Everywhere we went we always tried to fully live and got to know the locals, their food and culture. Each trip gave me a new perspective about people or about life in general and I'm truly grateful for that.

Now I'm old enough to travel alone and I would like to continue on this by myself - travel and getting to know the real life of the local people, always learn new things and give them someting from myslef too.

I am currently living in Milan, Italy since October 2022 and I am studying Interior Design. I really love what I study it was my dream for a long time. To make more money for my living here I am a part-time babysitter so I am experienced with taking care of children.

Before moving to Milan, in summer 2022, I experienced my first workaway on a farm in Umbria, Italy. It was one of the greatest experience. Until now I am in contact with the host family and I visited them last summer as well.

This summer I would like to experience workaway somewhere outside of Italy with my best friend. Our preference is to help in a surf camp or with animals anywhere in Europe.

Fun fact about me : I listen to (mostly old) music all the time, so if you share this passion with me we have a lot to talk about

Was könntest du arbeiten?

When I was 16 I was an animator at a children camp. It was amazing experience because I love kids and I like to be around them. I grew up in an environment full of children so I have a good relationship with them. I am able to look after your children if you let me to. I'm still a student so I only experienced part-time jobs. For almost 3 years I've been working at a cinema which helped me with communication skills and work persistence as we work also overnight. I cannot leave without not having finished my work. I am very self-conscious about that one.

Was noch ...

My dream is to have farm, growing my own crops, fruits, vineyards.. Workaway is a great place to learn from people who already have a farm. I'm most keen on eco farms :) The best location for me would be in Italy, but I wouldn't care if I go somewhere else too.

But before that I would like to pursuit my career as an Interior Designer either around the world or in my home country.

I bring my film camera everywhere with me. But I only capture the most important and beautiful moments I want to remember. I am very social but I also like my own space. I like reading books, paint (some of my older paintings included in the pictures above), talk about music or history.

I like to be in a motion, I cannot do anyting all day, so if I get a work to be done I can assure you I will most likely...enjoy it. haha
