Beschreibung

Hello, we are Lea and Viola - two best friends from a little town in South Germany, who have finished high school with the German "Abitur" last summer. Before we start studying this fall, we want to explore Europe for 8 months.
We have travelled together many times and noticed how much we love to meet new people, discover new places and face new challenges.

I (Viola) am particularly looking forward to getting to know the different music scenes better. I´ve been playing Irish folk music with the violin for years and attending Balfolk events (french folk dance) since I was very little. Lea plays the piano but is more passionate about art and literature.

skills: Lea cooks and bakes very good. She has experience with tutoring, horses, woodwork and other jobs, that need to be done on her familys inactive farm.
Viola is very experienced in working with children (teaching, playing) and babysitting. She also cooks and could ofter (free) violin and singing lessons if interested.
We both help around the house and absolutely love animals and nature.

So far, we have been to Ireland for two months and are planning to go to France in January/February. We worked in a little village by the sea in the west of Ireland for nearly one and a half month. In this time we did a lot of gardening, cleaning, baking and helped out in the store of a nice old lady. We are still in contact with her, don't hesitate to ask us for a reference from her as she doesn't have her own workaway profile yet.

We are both kind, respectful, responsible and motivated to be part of different projects and to help wherever help is needed.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Lea has experience teaching English as a private tutor. She has a talent for languages, which she also showed when writing articles for the regional and school newspapers. She grew up on what used to be a farm and even though her family doesn't own animals anymore (apart from cats), they still have a lot of work around the farm, where Lea has helped her whole life. She often cooks and bakes for her parents and her two sibilings. Lea helps with harvesting the fruit trees, with the gardenwork and with the woodwork that is required, as her family owns a small forest. Lea loves animals and for a few years she was riding and helping with the horses of their neighbours.

Viola is passionate about working with children. She was an intern at primary and special schools. During these internships she often had to teach and supervise the class on her own. In school she helped younger students with their homework and conducted orchestra rehearsals. But what she enjoys most of all is babysitting her nephew.
She often helps around the house and has some experience with cooking.
Viola could give violin and singing lessons if interest, and is a very patient teacher.

We are both quick learners and are looking forward to learning new skills as well!

Some other things about us, that are good to know:
Besides playing the violin, Viola really loves to sing, to photograph and to write songs.
Lea always reads smart books, that Viola doesn't understand and can draw very good (she will deny it).
