Beschreibung

I'm a student in sociology from Warsaw, Poland, currently taking a solo-gap year to travel and work while meeting new people and discovering new types of activities, jobs. I love nature and I am a pretty active person - I like hiking in the mountains and taking bike trips. In the last years I travelled a bit in Europe with my friends - hitchhiking, camping, backpacking, but mostly during holidays. This year I would like to experience travelling on my own and work on the way.

I am a native Polish and Polish is my mother tongu, but I am bilingual - I lived 5 years in France and went there to middle school. Back in high school and during my university years in Poland I worked as a private French teacher - mainly for children and teenagers, but I also did some conversation lessons with adults. I learn German and English since primary school and have reached a C1 level in both of those languages. I also began to learn Russian to years ago. I really enjoy learning other languages and communicating with other people in them!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have a lot of experience with children - I have been an animator of a children group in an association similar to scouts in Poland, I worked as a babysitter and as an au pair in Germany and Austria for a couple of weeks.
I am pretty organised, as I was one of the leaders in the previous mentioned scout group, and had to organise camps for groups of children, have an experience with simple work with Excel, Google Workspace etc.
I am cheerful and entering in interactions with new people comes rather easily to me, I also know several languages at an intermediate/advanced level, and during my trips I had a lot of opportunities to practice my communication skills in English, German and French. My main side-job during these last years was to be a French teacher (for children and adults) so I have experience with educating, teaching a language.
I also have experience with winegrape picking in France (went there twice in these last years) and I could learn more about gardening, working with plants.
Most importantly, I am willing to learn new skills and I see Workaway as my opportunity to do so!
