I'm very passionate about Mother Nature and adventuring in the outdoors! I love to explore new places, to meet new people and to learn about different cultures. I’m excited to experience a new way of travelling and to have my first experience with Workaway, I want to get stuck into whatever projects I can help with and to provide any help in any other way I can! I’m always open to learning new things and developing new skills.

I love hiking, yoga, wild swimming, camping, and just relaxing in the sun. I love cooking, trying new dishes and to be taught new recipes! I also love to wander around looking at the local art and architecture, and to share deep and open conversations with others, to share knowledge and develop meaningful connections. I wish to generally enjoy a more minimalist, natural and slow-paced way of living!

I’m a qualified Person-Centred counsellor, and I plan to continue studying after my travels to be able to provide other holistic and creative therapies to help our wellbeing, such as, yoga, meditation, horticulture, art and play therapy. So, I would love to learn more from my experiences and the people I meet on my travels!

I have been travelling around India since April 2023, and I hope to travel around Sri Lanka, Nepal, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam for the following year. I will be travelling alone and would love to meet new people along the way. Please get in touch if your travel ideas are similar and you would like to adventure together! 😊

Vom Workawayer (Kimberley) für Host (Forest house and baby ...)

I had an incredible experience and really loved every moment of my time here! I stayed for 2 weeks but I wish I could have stayed a lot longer. I was really welcomed into the family and into their home, I felt at home straight away and like a sister.

It was amazing to experience a remote little village in a valley away from the city. There are… read more no other tourists and only the locals of the village and their farms. It's so peaceful and beautiful everywhere, you can sit and listen to the bugs and the birds on the terrace and watch everyone go about their daily lives. At night it is full darkness with no light pollution, so you can enjoy star and moon gazing whilst listening to all the bugs so loud.

The village is surrounded by forest and the waterfall is only a 10 minute walk from the house and is on their land with a little temple. I went walking and swimming in the waterfall pool every day, and spent lots of time cooking, reading and relaxing on the terrace. We also had some fires whilst chatting and drinking chai. It was amazing to be so connected to nature in such a peaceful place. It was definitely the recharge I needed!

You can use the kitchen whenever you want and there are little shops with basic things. You can also walk 10 minutes from the house and see the Annurpurna and Mansulu mountain range in the distance, with a big suspension bridge over a river. You can walk across this bridge to get to the highway to catch buses to Pokhara Lakeside or Kathmandu.

Binita and Bikash are both such kind, friendly and sweet people who are very passionate about nature! They have so many ideas for their holistic project to connect people to Mother Nature, for personal healing and to help protect nature. Like planting trees and vegetables, yoga, meditation, sound healing, forest bathing and waterfall bathing.

I spent time cooking with Binita and learnt to make dahl baht! She makes the best food! I also spent time watering and planting trees, sugar cane and other nature on their land. I also watered the vegetable garden each evening. I helped Binita with doing some work on her laptop, did general cleaning of the home and helping out with general things around the house. I also spent a lot of time playing and helping to look after their 2.5 year old son, who is the cutest and sweetest little boy full of so much energy!

I really loved my time here! Thank you so much Binita and Bikash for this experience and for welcoming me into your family and home! I will definitely be returning in the future! Bye for now 😁🙏
