Hello everyone:D

My name is Kim (she/her) and I am on my one year solo backpacking travel journey around the World.

The best thing about traveling is meeting new people, especially getting to know the locals and their culture and having deep conversations and different views on life. In order to give something back to people while traveling and to be closer to their lives, I would like to do some volunteer work.
I am a Social Worker in Germany and love to be surround by open minded and lovely people. At home I life in a big chared flat with six other people because I enjoy to life in a family, charing my time with others and be around people.
I would describe myself as an extroverted, sensitive and organized, cheerful and adventurous person who loves to socialize and is always up for a fun and/or deep conversation, activities, and work where i can help and/or learn something new.
I want use my gap year for self-development, to see the world and learn more from different people and cultures.

Until now i don´t have a feedback on this website because I am starting my journey with workaway but right now I am living and volunteering in a Family near Sydney, help with gardening, cooking cleaning and everything that can be fixed. If you want to have a feedback or recommendation from them they are open to talk to you or send you something.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have a degree in social work and I did a lot of voluntary work with the ijgd (German voluntary company) during my studies. The focus was on supporting young people and organizing and running seminars and youth camps as a leader.
I always found out how much I enjoy learning new things, improving my skills and working in different areas.
I love animals (i grew up with cats), nature (taking care of my 30 houseplants and the garden at home) and just before I went traveling I built a wooden second flor/ bed in my room:D
I don't have a lot of experience in this but it has bring me a lot of fun and I would be very happy to gain new experience in the craft sector and building things.

In the farm and family I am staying right now I helped a lot with everything thats there to help with, gardening, cleaning, cooking and take care of a old woman.
At home in my chared flat I like to cook with everyone together or cook a nice meal for a lot of people.

But all in all I always love to learn new things and go out of my comfort zone.

Was noch ...

I love to play board games and enjoy a nice day or evening with a tea/some snacks and play until we fall a sleep. In my shared apartment at home, where i live with six other lovely people we have a big Wardrobe full of board games!

In my freetime i like to do some Sports (swimming, inline skating, i played soccer for a couple of years and i danced in a theater), i play piano, i love crafting (painting, crocheting, making jewelry and crafting in general) and enjoy my time with my friends and roommates in the kitchen cooking a nice meal, listen music and laugh:) I danced in a theater group in Germany and when I have the time I like to listen nice songs and dance for myself:D

I don´t label myself as a vegetarian but mostly i don´t eat meat.
