I am a graduating student from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with degrees in Psychology, Legal Studies, and Criminal Justice. I have had many interesting jobs that have worked with diverse populations.

Last year, I studied abroad in Denmark and then spent 2 weeks solo traveling in Sweden. I flew up to the arctic circle and then made my way down Sweden in a rented car. I mostly slept in the car to save money! It was a great adventure and inspired me to continue traveling on a budget. I feel that workaway will be a great way to do this.

My favorite parts about traveling are basking in beautiful scenery, meeting and learning from different people, and being flexible to see where the adventure will take me! I am taking a gap year before graduate school, and during that time I hope to have various workaway experiences that broaden my perspective, allow for time in nature, and the opportunity to meet diverse people. I am very talkative and social but also enjoy alone time.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have worked in various positions that mainly work with either justice-involved (currently or formerly incarcerated) people or those with disabilities. One organization I have spent 3 years working and volunteering at is "Just Dane" in Madison, Wisconsin.

I have also worked as a caregiver for individuals with disabilities. At this job, I worked closely with families and am good at working with lots of different family dynamics. In addition, I am used to jobs where everyday is different and presents new challenges.

I have experience riding horses in equestrian style. It has been a few years since I have ridden but rode for 4 years.

These jobs have strengthened my communication with diverse groups, problem-solving, and organization skills. All of which will be great in many workaway positions! I am open to lots of workaway opportunities but hope to have lots of experiences in nature.

Was noch ...

I am a huge fan of movies and hiking! I love to knit and create art. I have some knowledge of taking care of house plants but would love to learn more about gardening. I have gotten back into reading recently and am always up to play a game of Rummikub!
