Beschreibung

Hi, I’m Kasia and have recently moved to Australia to travel for the year after finishing my uni degree in environmental science.
Through joining workaway I hope to make the most of the opportunities here and fulfil my adventurous spirit!
From previous volunteering roles including disaster relief after hurricane Ida in New Orleans, helping to rebuild community homes, I’ve discovered a love for helping others.
By nature I’m very social and enjoy being in the company of others as well as having a passion for the environment and animals. At home I have two dogs who I love to bits so enjoy any kind of work involving animals, people and the environment. I’m always up for anything and love trying new activities and jobs, bringing my can do attitude every time.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

In previous years I’ve worked with children, babysitting and coaching kayaking activities at my local kayak club.
Within my previous volunteering I worked to rebuild a community home in New Orleans involving laying flooring, poly filtering walls, putting up plasterboards and insulation and painted walls.
My university degree and field research has given me outdoor working skills where I’ve completed coral reef benthic surveys and ecological river surveys which is a huge passion of mine.
I’m also confident caring for animals having grown up with dogs and cats and pet sitting for various family friends.
Additionaly I’ve had general housekeeping work in my last hostel in Melbourne and have had multiple customer service jobs so I’m confident working with people, as a team and completing solo tasks.
Working as a workshop assistant I’ve handled various machinery such as hack saws and sanders as well as getting involved in demolition work whilst on a housing construction site.
