Beschreibung

My name is Juliana Groksch, I am 18 years old and come from Germany.
While I successfully completed my Abitur, I immersed myself in the world of retail to gain my first work experience and save enough money to work and travel in Canada.
For a long time I knew that I wanted to travel to new places after graduating from high school. I have always looked at Canada with excitement and looked forward to the moment of traveling there.
I admire hard work, I'm not afraid to try new things and I'll approach both simple tasks and challenges with an open mind and want to create a new memory with each new experience.
Whether it's animal care, childcare, farming, teaching or even fun and games, I'm up for anything and will do my best.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I gained my first work experience in retail from October 2021 to February 2024. I worked there as a temp for the first 2 years until I switched to the checkout area in September 2023 until February 2024.
While I did that I first helped out as a gymnastics instructor for children (4-14 years) for almost 4 years before switching to soccer coach for children (4-6 years) at our local soccer club last year. I help organizing emerging competitions, planned the next training session with other trainers and all in all I always tried to come up with new games and ideas, so that the kids never get bored.

Leaving the Kids was really hard. We didn't just train, we also always had something to laugh about whether it was a hilarious joke or someone just because the majority were in a good mood, we quickly made a bond with each other.

Over the years I have had a few experiences with children. I occasionally looked after the then 4-year-old daughter of close friends while they were away. Accordingly I had to prepare meals, entertaing the gils and take her to bed.
When there was time I sometimes even started cleaning their house, so that when they came home most of the work was done.

My family had a labrador for about 3 years, but unfortunately he was separated from me after the end of a relationship. However, I was able to gain a lot of knowledge during these 3 years. Whether it was walking, feeding, playing or even a bit of training.

When I was 14 years old (9th grade in Germany) I tutored a 12 years old (7th grade) boy in biology. I teached me a bit about tutoring and how I have to convey the material in such a way that he is interested in learning it.

In conclusion my experience is already at a pretty good level, but not as near as good as I wish it to be. But that‘s why I traveled to Kanada, so that I can improve my skills, language and get to know how a canadian household works.
