I'm currently in Canada, looking for a winter stay. Always looking for awesome workaway and adventure opportunities.

Hi there :)

I'm Julian and new to this workaway thing. I quit my job in online marketing and apartment to fulfill my lifelong dream of living abroad. Choosing Canada as my destination was a no-brainer because I just love the nature and do-it-yourself culture.

Growing up, I came from a rural area, which is why I have such a fondness for nature. We had a garden ourselves that required regular attention, and I became accustomed to handling various common chores. My father, an electrician by trade, played a significant role in honing my handiwork skills.

Now that I'm in Canada, my main goal is to better understand the culture by immersing myself in it. I've chosen to step away from a desk for a while and embrace the real Canadian lifestyle. I'm open to all kinds of DIY and farm/ranch-related tasks. While I do bring some basic knowledge to the table, I'm also a quick learner and looking forward to new challenges, learning new and extending my existing skills in DIY, farming/ranching, running equipment etc.

I'm open-minded and always eager to learn new things. I'm drawn to the outdoors. You could say I have a preference for a more laid-back pace, and I approach new experiences with a calm and friendly attitude, ready to soak in whatever they have to offer.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

When I was younger I helped a lot in my parent's garden: Tending to plants, mowing the lawn, building a shed or a fence. Recently I enjoyed building a bit of furniture for myself. So I am very well-prepared for any physical work. I am a very quick learner and looking forward to gaining some new skill like woodcutting/-working, farming, animal care and general maintenance. I also like to cook and learning new dishes. For the past 6+ years I worked as a consultant in digital marketing having a background in media production, so I have a lot of professional experience in photography and videography as well as everything marketing and customer service. Being a techie myself, I can also help out regarding computers, Wi-Fi etc.
