Hello dear Host or fellow Workawayer. My name is Julian and i’m almost 23 years old. I grew up in a small village near the Swiss/German border. The Last 7 years I worked a job intentionally learned so I had anything in my hands to show for. Now i am ready for someting new. Until i know what i really want to do in Life I decided to try Workaway hoping to find closure. I am eager to meet new people, cultures, landscapes, languages, families, routines, – anything really. Because I dont want to overextend my comfort zone, I first of all want to travel/visit/work (whatever you want to call it) Sweden and or Norway. With my Parents and my two siblings I was in Sweden twice so far. Both times we went canoeing for about 8 consecutive days and both tours were great adventures. I loved the swedish nature and miss it big time.

My english understanding is good I want to say, my talking however is a bit rusty i fear since i never really used it.

Was könntest du arbeiten?
In 2017 I started a 3 year long apprenticeship as a Landscapegardener and successfully completed in 2020. I know my way around Shovel, Pickaxe, Motorsaw, Powertools, or even an excavator. Working physically in general really. I can build new pavements or build foundations for a new fence for example. I can trim your hedge or pull wheats, alltough pulling wheats is not why I learned this profession 😉. I also Love working with animals.I have basic sheep knowledge for example. Dont make too narrow corners while fencing which they could get themself stuck or to not give them too much pasture at once. I once helped bringing a flock of sheep (around 500 animals) to their summerstay in the alps. During my mandatory military service it was my Job to take all the service dogs out for walks and clean out their boxes. During that time I uncovered my love for dogs. Of course collecting feces was not my favourite task during that time but I understand what has to be done. Overall I want to say i’m your average handyman and help wherever I can.

In my freetime here in switzerland i'm also a sportshooter with the crossbow or the swiss army rifle and i'm a fairly decent shot. I'd be interested to go hunting if you do so. Even with bow and arrow. Or learn setting traps for smaller wildlife. And I will definitely bring my fishing rod and equipment if I may.
