Beschreibung

Hi, we are Julia and Ester, a gay couple from Hungary. We are so excited to continue our journey as volunteers with our main objective being learning about sustainability, permaculture and becoming part of a community with like minded people.

I am Julia (22 yrs old), a personal trainer and Tefl teacher by vocation.
I am a cheerful, very openminded person with huge curiosity.
I have taken part in Workaway projects before- I partcipated in farm work, where I learned about permaculture, did a great amount of planting and harvesting, took care of farm animals and even did some repair work, like fixing up fences, installing gutters and watering lines. I have experience in childcare, but farmwork has my heart and I treasure the friendships I formed doing it alongside others.
My aim is to do work that is meaningful and connect with others.


I am Ester (23 yrs old), an art therapist in progress so my main focus is creating and connecting. Art therapists mainly work with people who struggle to open up using their words so this form of therapy requires creativity and perseverance from all parties involved-therefore I enjoy experiencing with non-conventional materials. I am always open to try new things, meet new people, create new projects and deepen my knowledge of the world. Volunteering at a hotline for the LGBTQ+ community made my want for helping others even stronger, now I am ready to get into another adventure.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I (Ester) have experience with various handsy projects. Helping out my dad with taking care of the house led me to enjoy building and fixing things from cabinets to boats. Spending time in the garden, working with my hands as well as with different tools is something I love and am capable of. I also enjoy doing carpentry projects I have made for example furniture (nightstands, cat houses, cabinets) and I've taken part in building a houseboat and installing housefloor heating. You can trust me with art projects from planning out to executing, including hands on materials or graphic designs.

I (Julia), love crafty projects, crocheting, pottery, cooking and baking. I have done a lot of planting and composting on farms where they were aiming for self sustanability. I worked with garden vegetables and fruit, from planting to watering and trimmed olive trees. I took care of animals, such as chickens, donkeys and sheep. The tasks also included managing the landscape, digging trenches, setting up a gutter system, painting walls,mulching, installing the watering and the making of compost.

As a couple we are fun to be around and easy to talk to, we love meaningful conversations and creating a safe space. We enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking and we are open to new types of activities such as surfing, diving and doing yoga.
