Hi, I'm Julia, 27 years old and I finished university 2022 just to become a kindergarden teacher afterwards :). I currently live in Göttingen, but originally I come from Leipzig, a beautiful city in the east of Germany, where I'm planning to go back in the end of summer.

After school I was living as an Au Pair in Cairo, Egypt and afterwards I was working as a german teacher in a german kindergarden in the center of Cairo. At the end of this gap year I decided to travel some more and so in 2016 and 2017 I had my first experiences with workaway.
I traveld trough spain for 3 months, working at a hostel in Toledo, staying and working at a wonderful farm in Letur and helping out on an avocado farm close to Cadiz.
Afterwards I continued my journey in India and Nepal, also working at hostels and small community farms. I finished the trip with two of my best friends backpacking trough India (north to south).
Since then I traveld to eastern europe, portugal and 2022 again to spain, this time together with my boyfriend.
So, know you know all about my traveling so far :)

Right now I'm planning a trip to Italy, Tuscany.
I've been to Venice before and loved the art and the culture. I'm also really hooked on art history and can't wait to see some original paintings in Florence, my first stop in Italy.
I love traveling in slow paste and really getting to know and becoming familiar with a place and its people and culture. So after staying in Florence for some days I'm really looking forward to help out in some workaway projects around Tuscany, prefarably on organic farms, nature and sustainability projects or hosts who need some help with their garden/house.

I'm a very open minded person with an optimistic outlook on the world. I'm curious about different ways of living togehter relationshipwise and in general as a community. I come around a bit shy at first, but as soon as I'm getting comfortable and familiar with a new place I'm chatty and always interested in participating in group activities, like going on nature walks together, cooking and playing card games or so :)

Beside that I enjoy my own company as well. You can find me reading and crocheting almost everywhere, preferably with a coffee or tea in my hands.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I can imagine a lot and I am very flexible. I would love to do something outdoors in nature, such as gardening or taking care of animals.
I have also experiences with working in cafes and hostels: cleaning rooms, making breakfast etc.
I'm a trained barista.
