Traveling and looking for a place stay and contribute in the near future! We would love a place with animals (horses??) but are open for a lot of other things/activities!

Beschreibung

Hi there!!!

We are a Dutch and English speaking couple that has escape the city and busy live to experiment other lifestyles in other parts of the world. We both have passion for people, animals (!!!) and music. We'd love to contribute to your house in a positive way and cannot wait to experience a new lifestyle.

Back home Gwendoline (Lien for short) worked as a dogwalker, as she has a great talent for knowing animal behaviour. She will definitely be able to teach you a thing or two about being able to explain different behaviour patterns of animals, and will love nothing more than spending time with your beloved furry friends :)
Jorrit used to be a local politician (focussed on affordable housing and social justice) and maths teachers. He loves to talk about politics, but is always looking for similarities rather than differences. He also plays the Euphonium (a brass instrument) in orchestras and a ukulele in a street band.

Right now we have cancelled our house and quit our jobs to try our luck in other parts of the world: thats where workaway comes in. We are so excited to be able to find a more slow paced lifestyle: without things becoming boring ofcourse. We are not much for doing nothing. We hope to contribute to places that will be able to provide this, and cannot wait to meet all inspiring people along the way.

We love knowledge exchange and both are experienced in teaching children. Jorrit speaks near fluent English and has lived and studied in Australia. Gwendoline is intermediate english speaker but loves to improve as well, and is able to teach with a background in pedagogy. We are ofcourse able to teach you the basics of Dutch as well, if you're interested!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

A little bit about our experience and possible added value to your home:
We both have experience teaching children, Gwendoline (Lien) in her studie Pedagogy and Jorrit as a Maths and Physics teacher.
We are also very experienced house and pet-sitters, as we cared for mainly dogs, cats, and horses, but also goats, chickens, Guinee pigs and a donkey. Gwendoline was a professional dogwalker the last year. We both love horse riding, and Gwendoline had been a paid groom before.
Our gardening and farming skills may need some work, but we would love it to learn more about producing our own food.
Jorrit will also bring his ukulele to your place and is able to teach music to children and adults!
