Hello!

I'm Jonny - 26, originally from Edinburgh in Scotland but currently based in London. I'm excited to take a break from my usual and dive into something completely new for a few months (at least). I'm particularly keen on exploring Colombia and South America having fallen in love with Spanish (and as a result Latin American) culture - the food, the reggaeton, the late evening dinners - all of it!!

For the past few years I've been working as a qualitative researcher, conducting focus groups, interviews, and more for various brands and charities to understand their audience better. While the role may not be my forever, the aspect of learning and understanding how to best communicate and connect with people has always excited me and I would say I'm very open and curious by nature so love to socialise, listen, and learn.

I'm hoping this time in Colombia will be an opportunity to meet new people, learn from others, improve my Spanish (currently B1), explore new places, and generally have some fun!

I've had a handful of different roles from hospitality, retail, theme parks, to cleaning all before starting my career professionally in market research. The majority of my work has been among people and in teams so have strong people/communication/management skills, i've also studied and worked abroad on a few occasions. But really i'm happy and willing to get involved in all aspects!
