We are Mel and Jon a married couple that has decided to take a year out and travel to parts of the world that are new to us and to learn about their culture and way of life. We also want to give back along the way!

We are young at heart, full of energy with a big spirit for adventure.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

We are both hardworking individuals that have a lot of experience working in IT and accountancy respectively but both with a talent for data modelling and analysis. We are also both good home cooks but can also garden, decorate, build and do general DIY

Was noch ...

Mel is a DIY enthusiast (Jon is an enthusiastic DIY person - yes there is a difference!) and can put her hand to most things, including, building (brick laying) Painting and decorating, sewing (curtains and wedding dresses) Art and design, plumbing, Tiling, farming and gardening.

Jon has a history of IT management including managing projects and relatively large organizations (50+) with substantial budget responsibility. More recently he has specialized in Business Operations with significant experience in data modelling, automation and governance,

Mel also loves Excel spreadsheets and can design and model data at a professional level, including macro's and is a qualified accountant.

We both like skiing or snowboarding...

We both have and enjoy riding our motorcycles and have been on many adventures, all over the world, including riding Harley Davidson bikes in USA and Royal Enfields in the Himalayas, India.

We both enjoy cooking but not necessarily at the same time :-) and have successfully run a B&B in France offering a full cooked English breakfast and a 3 course evening dinner menu, plus canapes. Jon is also a passionate baker, especially pizza dough, and all sorts of breads including sourdough. Mel built him his own outdoor pizza oven, made out of fire bricks, which he uses weekly, whilst in France.

Jon is a passionate about sports, still plays cricket, runs and cycles weekly, we both enjoyed running marathons and entering triathlons, in our slightly younger days.
