Beschreibung
We are Frida (0,5), Johanna (30) and Gilbert (37). A young Swiss-Austrian family travelling Europe. Gilbert is just finishing his studies in environment and natural resources management and Johanna is on maternity leave. So we took the chance, to make a bigger tour before settling down. On our travels, we hope to meet nice people, see beautiful places, learn new things,...
We are travelling with our VW-Camper, so we are vey flexible. Our kitchen and our bed are always with us:)
Our Babydoughter was born in September 2018. Shes still quite small, and we hope that it is possible to find hosts, even though we are travelling with a baby.
As we are interested in a sustainable and healthy lifestyle, we would love to go to places where we can help with gardening or farming. Especially permaculture is something we would like to get to know better. We both do a little bit of Yoga, but that is something else, we could improve a lot for sure ;P

Was könntest du arbeiten?
Johanna: I studied fashion for teaching, so I like working with Kids and I can do all kinds of sewing work... the last few years I have also been working as a Swing dance instructor. I have experience in taking care of animals and I like all kinds of gardening work. Id say that my cooking is quite good as well :)

Gilbert: Right now I'm finishing my bachelor in Environment and Bio-Resources Management. I'm interested in everything that grows and a sustainable living. For me, this trip is also a way to find out, what we really need for making a good life. I got some working experience on organic farms in New Zealand and i'm really curious how growing plants is working in different climates like the south of europe. I'd say I'm quite handy with tools.

Frida: was born in September 2018. She is a relaxed babygirl, most of the time she is very happy :) Her No.1 skill is rolling from the back to her belly.

vom Host (Permaculture, natural ...) für Workawayer ()

We had the chance to live together with this little family in late spring. It was overall a wonderfull experience, and we feel that there was an excellent flow of good energy running both ways. We are glad to say that J an G were so open minded to receive elements of our different mentality and at the same time they helped us to open our minds… read more and receive the original and usefull things they carry in their personalities. The level of communication between us was extremely high and genuine and we feel that it can be easily compared (or even exceed) with the level of communication we have with our best friends. They accepted things and ideas they found here and are so different from Austrian stereotypes and gave us so much confidence to continue our efforts. They cared to give us constant feedback that helped us improve ourselves in many ways. They have a very gentle way to express what can be improved or rethinked and this helped us receive good criticism. We had the chance to have in depth conversations because they inspire trust and respect.
In the practical field they tried hard to combine the heavy schedule of having an 8 month baby to care, live in 4 square meters of space, and help out in the farm and community. You guys did it great. You guys also cook great. Gilbert showed great creativity, innovation, initiative and results. Johanna found tasks that she could perform in windows of time and never left anything in the middle. You both exceeded our expectations because we also have a baby and we know how difficult it is.
We cant neglect to mention that Johanna is a multi - artist that generously shared her arts and crafts with us, an found ways to make it usefull in the farm. We cant start to mention how many times she sewed or weaved sth in here. Those people fit their whole life in a van but they carry a guitar and a ukelele in their limited space. Respect!!!
Finally we have to say that Gilbert has a genuine, universal, theraputic sense of humor that helped all of us many many times.
The list of positives doesn't end here. The rest you will have to discover yourself.
If you just want helpers for your project dont invite those people and waste their time and their precious company and multi talents. If you want to meet some great people that will help you reach another level in various fields this little famly is your best choice
