I'm Jess, from Germany and I'm full of life vitality and curiosity for our world and its people. Travelling countries and places is a passion of mine and I enjoy life by getting to know different cultures, languages and traditions. For me personally it is important to explore our world in an authentic way, which means that I want to get to know local people, their daily life and their way of living. I prefer 'real' experiences, which require openess, empathy and rethinking. For my next travels I found Workaway and it seems like a perfect opportunity to me to get in touch with local people and to exchange experiences, ideas, language, culture and traditions. I would be more than happy to have the chance to get to know you, your home and your community.

As I already said, I'm passionate about language and communication. That's the main reason why I studied German. Our languages are part of our identity and one thing I experienced while my travelling was, that a part of me was always missing if I couldn't speak my first language consistently in this country. I also find it really fascinating to observe how strangers feel directly more drawn to each other if they speak the same language. That is one reason why I'm interested in getting to know new languages and to teach some skills about my first language as well. I'm convinced that knowledge about different and various languages is one opportunity to increase openess and cultural exchange.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

In Germany I studied to be tacher for German and education. I'm very passionate about language, because it is our way to communicate with each other. How communication works and the impact of languages are one of my main interests. In my free time I attend dancing classes and I love to dance and to sing, even if my voice is really not the best. But dancing and singing come with a feeling of freedom and lightness and they both are also ways of communication. I also love to cook and I'm really interested in trying local food and get to know how it is cooked by locals. In general I'm just a person, who really enjoys long and deep conversations about topics with sense, meaning and impact. Even if I'm a woman, I don't have a problem to help in handcraft or building stuff. I don't have much knowledge about it yet, but I'm really willing to learn and to improve my own skills. The nature is my favourite place to be, so I'm also looking forward to get knowledge and skills in farming and gardening.

I think I mentioned everything important so far. I also believe that a virtual profile can never give you a real and authentic impression about a person. So I always prefer to meet people in person and being confronted with their energy.
