We are interested in gardening, cleaning, looking after animals and jobs in the house and garden like painting, pave cleaning, planting etc.

Hey everybody! We are Janine (29) and Gabby (30), a couple from Germany and the UK.

We met in New Zealand after we both travelled a lot: Gabby worked and lived in Ibiza, travelled through Soust East Asia, Australia and lived for the last 6 years in New Zealand where she worked in hospitality and tourism. I travelled through Tailand and New Zealand and worked in New Zealand as a gardener. We lived together in a shared house where we were doing some work in the garden (planting plants, cleaning the terrace, weeding, creating and looking after a greenhouse), in the house (cooking meals for us and our flatmates, cleaning bathroom and kitchen) and where we were looking after our flatmates dog Fluffy (the one you see on the pics :)) We enjoyed living in the house and taking responsibilitiy for the dog and the fish while our flatmate was away on holiday.

After the adventure in New Zealand, our journey continues: Australia is our next destination. We´ll arrive on the 22nd August in Perth and we are looking for a host family we can live with for a few days or weeks.
It would be nice for us to live with people who know the area and can give us some recommendatios for things we should see while we are there. We are open-minded and enjoy a good conversation with other people.

In my free time I like to do sports, especially Capoeira. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, cooking together or meeting up for game nights. I also love spending time outside in nature.
Gabby did Judo and Jiu-Jitsu in the past, is the perfect person for a deep talk about any topics, a great chef (especially her steaks are fabulous!) and enjoys watching sport in TV.
We both love to spend time with animals, especially dogs and cats, but also other animals. We enjoy a long walk with a dog.

We are a gay couple. Tolerance and acceptance of all gender identities and lifestyles are important to us. So we´re looking for hosts who share this view.

We love to learn new things, meet new people and treat people and animals with respect.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Janine: I am a volunteer with the THW (German Federal Agency for Technical Relief). I learned in a team how to rescue people from rubble and we work with a large technical equipment.
In New Zealand I worked for a gardening company where I was in the maintenance team. I mowed the lawn, cut the hedges, trimmed the lawnedges, planted plants and trees etc.
So I can operate technical devices.

I would say I am skilled in craftsmanship, especially in woodworking. I built a wooden rabbit enclosure and supported my father during house building (srewing on chipboards). I have experience in the work with the drill and cordless screwdriver. I am grateful if I can learn more in this area.
I have experience in wallpapering and painting. I helped friends when they moved into other apartments.

Gabby: Gabby worked as a Generel Manager in bars/restaurants, so she can pour you a perfect beer ;) The last 2 years she worked in tourism. Working in logstics and reservation for a scenic flight company, she improved her administration and logistical skills. She is awesome in organizing and managing. I found this out especially in the time before we left New Zealand when we had to sell a lot of our stuff.
Gabby has very good cooking skills, A barbecue in summer or a rost chicken in winter, oven veggies or a good curry: I always got a delicious meal when she was cooking for us.
Gabby did wood-fence painting and pave cleaning before. Her neighbor´s paving looks like new.
