I am currently with friends in Golden BC. They are workaway hosts but I came as a friend so this will be my first time as a "workaway" here now. I am a social worker back home in Ontario (housing, addictions, mental health, anti-oppressive practice), but I will continue to take a break from that work and travel farther west to gain further experience and learning opportunities. I very much appreciate my connection to the land, I work hard and am handy, I am mature and great with kids, and want to discover a new community to be a part of for a little while as I continue to heal from a tough job previously. I still love the work, I just want a little more time. If I am reaching out to you, it is because I have read your profile and feel that we could be a good fit for each other. Good with tools (have tools with me), handy, good kitchen helper and cook, love working outdoors doing labour and being a grunt!
I will be driving my car to you and have driven trucks with trailers in the past also.

Was noch ...

As long as I am learning, experiencing, and being part of a good community, I am happy. I enjoy exercising regularly, can play a little guitar although I get shy (working on that), appreciate bike rides, hikes, swims, and adventures outdoors. I can spend time, watch out for, and play games with kids as there is learning for me too in those moments.
