Hi! My name is Jack Keegan, I am 25 years old and I'm from Dublin, Ireland. I am a very positive and friendly person as well as a hard worker and I find it easy to get along with almost anyone. I love trying new types of foods, embracing new experiences and I adore animals! My passions include literature, music, art and film and I am always happy to delve into a conversation about these topics. I have lots of experience working and volunteering in many different countries such as India, Nepal, America, Italy, Portugal and Jamaica and I have also volunteered in a Buddhist centre in Ireland (which I've returned to a number of times). I have experience working in hostels around Europe (preparing breakfast, working the reception, managing bookings, answering the phones, tidying, washing sheets and changing bedding), along with some construction, farming, and gardening experience in Europe, Asia, America and Jamaica. I have also had a range of different jobs in Ireland such as in retail (including a DIY store, shoe shop, and small newsagents), resturaunt, cafe, and kitchen work (being a kitchen porter in several resturants, washing dishes and cooking utensils, preparing food, and serving tables) and I have picked up various practical skills along the way. I am currently studying for a degree in English with Creative Writing, and I have also completed a one year film making course and my long term plan is to become a screenwriter. But I like to travel as much as I can when I have time off. I love to meet new people and see new places and volunteering is a great way for me to do that. I always fully apply myself to any task or job that I am given and I am generally easy going and don't often feel the need to complain. I'm sure I will get along brilliantly with anyone I meet through Workaway and will definitely be a great help with any work that I am given, I look forward to hopefully meeting you in the future!
