Hi folks!
I love the secret doors that workaway opens into local life and creative, sustainable communities. A few years back I spent the winter as a volunteer teacher in Nepal (arranged through family friends) and I've also hitchhiked through Europe where I did a lovely workaway trip in Macedonia. Now I'm about to go into year four of a creative writing and literature degree. I'm studying online with the University of the Highlands and Islands so I want to spend my last year travelling around my home country. It'll bring me back to my Scottish roots for sure but I don't plan on quitting being a wanderer any time soon! I love how approaching life from a traveller's perspective enhances the connection with the people you meet on your journey and the way you impact each other's lives.
So... about me...
I love cooking - particularly healthy food but of course lots of cake... everything in moderation! I used to be vegan, although now I am not exclusively vegan I enjoy eating healthy and sustainable food and have a lot of nice nutritious recipes to share.
I lived on a croft for some time so I have experience milking goats and mucking them out as well as being outside in all weathers. I have a wee collie dog called Jill who is my absolute world, I'd love to find some dog friendly places where I can stay with her. She's very good with people, a little shy at first (she's a rescue) and I always keep her on the lead around livestock and other dogs.
I like whittling spoons, making cordage from nettles, foraging wildflowers for herbal teas, knitting and art. I have work experience in the hospitality industry and have been a cook, a hostel assistant, and front of house staff.

Was noch ...

I love whittling spoons, knitting and crochet (able to teach), spending time outdoors with my collie dog Jill and writing. I'm just about to go into year 4 of a creative writing degree which is online so I can fit my studies around volunteering/work.
