Beschreibung

Hello! We are Nathan and Hannah, a friendly and adventurous couple from London. We can't wait to explore and experience all the incredible sides of Colombia, especially being in nature. Both of us bring different skills, but we are equal in our enthusiasm and desire to learn new things and contribute in whatever way we can. A big part of travelling for us is learning about different cultures and gaining a wider perspective of the world, whilst also connecting with new people.
We are also always up for some music and dancing and can't wait to learn salsa! We're also keen to improve on our Spanish skills. Exploring the outdoors whether on feet or bike is what we like to do on our time off, we walked part of the Camino de Santiago last year and got a taste for the hiking life.
Coming from a busy city, we try whenever we can to get out into nature and learn about the land and growing. It would be great to use and build on these skills as this is something we're passionate about. Hopefully we get the opportunity to contribute to a socially beneficial project and meet new people through Workaway.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Hannah
As a day job I am a journalist and my main work expertise is in writing and editing, while I previously worked on a helpline for a charity. I worked as a teacher for primary and secondary students in Barcelona teaching English which I loved, during which time I tried to learn Spanish and I'm very keen to improve this during my time in Colombia. Last year I worked with young people as a project officer and I have a lot of further experience working with children of all ages. Staying somewhere with dogs or animals is also a dream. We both volunteer in London when we can, including working at a food distribution centre, sorting and carrying food which involves carrying heavy boxes. I also love swimming, yoga and bikes, and I used to have an allotment so I love to get involved with growing vegetables.

Nathan
My current role is working as a stock controller where I manage back-of-house processes such as processing deliveries, which requires heavy lifting, management of the stockroom and it’s capacity through actioning requests for stock transfers to the warehouse to make space to new stock, maintaining stock integrity and accuracy through weekly stock-takes and using a stock management software to input and output stock. Outside of this I volunteer at a few organisations, one as apart of cooking team providing weekly meals for local community and another working in a food distribution centre actioning orders consisting of sorting and picking donated groceries, which also requires heavy lifting. These orders then go the various food bank's across London. A few of my hobbies involve illustration, making music and photography.

We enjoy sports such as Badminton, Table Tennis, Frisbee, Swimming and Running. We also hope to learn more card games and practise drawing during our travels.
