We would love to do some activities in nature and preferable with many animals around us. Doing things with our hands like gardening and crafting - simply being outside is the best!

Beschreibung

Hey,
we’re Sarah & Hannah, a couple from Germany. We’re 21 and 22 years old and are currently taking a break from university to travel the world. Sarah studies veterinary medicine and Hannah is studying History and English.

I (Hannah) originally studied Biology for a few semester and it’s still a big interest of mine. I like learning about everything that includes nature and animals, especially when it comes to oceans and marine life. During my gap year after graduating, which I spend in Central America, I already took part in some WorkAway Projects. I participated for two weeks in an eco projects where I learned about eco-friendly and sustainable gardening. After that I´ve worked in an Hostel for over a month and helped with general tasks around the house.
In this time I also did my scuba diving license and took a few surfing lessons. Thankfully during these 8 months I had the chance to meet a lot of people and got to know new cultures and societies. That’s the main reason why I’m really looking forward to travel again, and hopefully being able to help People and learn from them.
Because I’m a big team player I have been playing football for nearly ten years now and I am generally interested in any kinds of sports and games.
As a kid my dad often showed me how to repair and fix things and to this day I enjoy tasks like this. I also did an internship as a carpenter during my school time.

For me (Sarah) it’s the best way to fill my day by doing all sorts of activities like hiking (with the dog), yoga, sauna, being creative, spending time in the nature or the kitchen as well as just catching up with some friends.
As I’m studying veterinary medicine, I spend a lot of my time in university. Animals, their safety and biology in general are big interests of mine. Currently I’m in my 3rd year and wanted to take a break from all the learning and to dig into life again, outside in this wide world.
I’m a really socially driven person, I love to meet new people and learn about their beliefs, experiences and lifes.
Because I’m interested in the organic lifestyle, such as permaculture and sustainability, I am working in a small organic shop throughout the semester.
Before university I lived on a farm for a year, where I learned a lot, such as working independently and taking care of animals. Through this time I gained experiences in crafting, finding practical solutions and working long, hard days.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Since german is our maternal language we speak it fluently and could also teach it. Our english is fluent too and we could definitely teach some basics.
We’re also ready to dig our hands into dirt and help with things like gardening, crafting, cleaning and just helping around the house/hostel and garden!

Was noch ...

The both of us would describe ourselves as a person who finds (chosen) family the most important thing. We really enjoy spending time with our families and friends, which is why we appreciate harmony and peace while living and working with other people. For us a respectful and honest communication, as well as helping and supporting each other is the key to create an enjoyable and positive atmosphere, where everybody is able to live and work freely, happily and without discomfort.
