Beschreibung

I’m a Norwegian-American, adventurous, and sociable woman with a passion for alternative lifestyles. As a visual anthropologist, I’ve spent the last five years living in Japan, Mexico City, a remote Norwegian island, Denmark, a van, and a rural Mexican village—sometimes doing video projects or fieldwork, other times just enjoying life.

I’m happiest outdoors and active. I love skateboarding and surfing, with it's freedom and playfulness. Currently based in Denmark, I’m part of a skate community organization that supports women and gender minorities, organizing events, sessions, and creative projects to make skateboarding more inclusive.

Alongside my love for movement, I thrive on creative projects like art, writing, and community work. I’m curious, playful, and energetic but also value slower moments for connection and meaningful conversations.

After six months of surfing in Mexico, I’m hooked and working toward a life balanced around the waves. Give me a wave, and I’m happy!

Education:
Bachelor's in Social Anthropology
Bachelor's in English linguistics and literature
Master's in Visual Anthropology

This in practice basically means that I have a wide range of cultural and theoretical knowledge on social life and ethnography, and that I'm good at writing and connecting dots to see the bigger picture. The visual aspect includes having a good grasp on starting creative projects and developing creative and culture-related ideas, especially in regards to filming and editing.

In general I have a good chunk of experience doing jobs in the film industry, as well as in translation, consultant work, anthropological research, SoMe marketing, and exhibition organizing.

Besides work that is related to my education, I have over 10 years of experience in various retail, tourism, and service jobs, including working closely with children in kindergarten or through personal assistance for children with special needs. –And as a server and bartender full time for longer periods. I'm decent at cooking, and just "home making" and organizing in general. I work very efficiently and structured, both independently and in teams.

I'm also a sporty person, good at physical sports and activities, and very motivated for most hands-on activities.
