Ich bin gerade

Beschreibung

I have spend most of the past years at sea, working or volunteering on various tallships and projects. I am working for the past couple of years for an environmental protection NGO and on an engineless sailing cargoship.
This lifestyle is amazing, very rich and full of surprises, beautiful meetings, however it can be as leaving in a bubble, disconnected from the "shorelife".

Having the insterest to (re)connect with the land since a while now, it is becoming more and more an urge.
I feel that I have so much to learn, discover and experience with the land, starting from the fundamental of being able to grow and harvest food, while enriching the soil and biodiversity around that would benefit from.
I always loved animals and miss their interactions and inconditional love when they het to know you.

If I should peak a few words that represent my values and interest would be community, lowtechnologies and permaculture, even if that last can be interprated differently and/or have various meanings.

As you might guess, I love the ocean and surf, but I do love as much hiking in the montains.
I love climbing, drawing, cooking and baking bread, listening and playing music, reading, building and repairing things etc..

A few words about my personnality; expect someone pretty calm and quiet, easy to connect with as I am used to live on ships, a small space to share with many others!

A part of me believes that galicia is a perfect places to fullfil my dreams of resilient and sustainable life, within a loving community, exchanging services and shared moment right in between mountains and ocean. I'm on a mission to answer this quest.

Always up for pretty much anything, I'll be happy to help in any of your projects with a smile .. Cooking, gardening, building, taking care of your animals, I'm all in!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have experience on mainly ships and sailing related aspects like rope and wire work, sail making and repairs, rusbusting, painting, wood work etc..
I know how to use most of wood related tools, electrics and manual.
On steel work, I have the basics and for exemple know how to weld 2 pieces of steel together (but need a lot more practice to concider myself as a relable welder), able to do little projects like a rocket stove or making tools etc.

Regarding bioconstruction material, I have experience with torchis (clay-sand-straw) as I took part of making the walls in a wooden house. We did various tests and fails until finding how it works.

Only little experience with gardening, mowing, planting etc, but that is what I am hoping and willing to discover, pratice and learn during my wormaways!

Was noch ...

I travel with my van, my "Pottok", which is my little cosy house and trusty compagnon since 8 years.
I am basically autonomous, even if I need to refeel water once in a while and do not have toilets.
