Currently travelling in Asia then walking the Camino De Santiago in June. After this we are keen to Workaway in France throughout July, then are flexible and eager to explore more of Europe from Aug.

Beschreibung

Hello, we're Tom and Grace. We are both originally from South Australia and recently moved back home from New Zealand, where our love of camping, hiking, trying new things and getting to know new people grew significantly. Although we love our life near the coast in South Australia, we have packed up our home and our jobs (again) to see as much of the world as we can, and in search of similar opportunities to get outdoors, work with new people and to learn more about the different ways life can be lived.

Tom- I am a 29 year old Flooring Installer. I enjoy feeling and being useful, which is what attracted me to Workaway over general tourism. I've always been fascinated by what life is like for other people around the world, and want to experience it as best I can. When I'm back home I love to play golf, go fishing, read books, DIY/ renovation work around our house and just be around my friends and family. I love travelling and meeting new people.

Grace- I am 28 years old and work as an Occupational Therapist. This job mirrors my own values of a balanced life, supporting those who may need it, and getting creative to make environments and tasks optimal for the different lives that people lead- all things that also drew me to Workaway. I love seeing new parts of the world and learning what life looks like for others- especially when it comes to cooking, which is something I love to do. I also enjoy reading, exercising, and spending time with friends and family.

Grace can speak Italian from her learning at school and university, and is keen to continue to build her ability to converse. Tom has an interest in languages and is keen to learn, though he cannot speak another language at the moment.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Tom- I have worked in the construction industry as a flooring installer for 10 years, so I am good with my hands. I enjoy applying these skills to work on my own house and helping friends and family. I love the challenge of making things, love learning new skills, and will always give things a try. Working for myself means I complete jobs from start to finish autonomously and I like to consider myself a hard worker. I also love to be part of a team and work really well with people.

Grace- As an Occupational Therapist I have experience working with and supporting children and young people in their development and learning. I also have a passion for promoting positive mental health through my work, so am able to bring these principles to everyday life. I am detail orientated, organised and creative when solving problems- characteristics that I bring to any new personal or professional project. My tendency for perfectionism means I work hard and like to complete tasks to a very high standard. I love to collaborate and work really well with others. I am a competent cook and love to create in the kitchen.
