Beschreibung

I am currently finishing my contract at an Interior Designer Company in London and looking to escape cold grey England and visit a beautiful part of the world I have never seen before.

I have been lucky enough to have spent a year travelling in Latin America and six months in South East Asia. These trips fuelled my love for exploring, culture and nature. I want to try and infuse my life with as much as this as possible, and to remind myself that having a 9-5 job doesn't have to be what I'm always doing. I am lucky enough to have this opportunity, with a break in between jobs, to have a little adventure.

I am passionate about people, animals, nature, cultures and languages so I would be excited about any workaway prospects that included that. Back in the UK I have had many jobs working in hospitality so I have no problems with working behind a bar or in a hostel. I also have volunteered to teach Syrian refugees English and helped girls at a special needs school develop their social skills. Recently I was a guide for street art walking tours in London so I am no stranger to meeting new people and being able to teach them about a little known subject. This job in particular furthered my love for culture, the arts and getting to know people from all walks of life and from all over the world. I thoroughly enjoyed these experiences and I hope I can use my skills in the next Workaway I do.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have worked as an estate agent for 3 years and have gained skills when it comes to speaking to people, especially those who are going through difficult times. Before that, I was a history student and obtained a great appreciation for other cultures across the world. I have worked in hospitality for many years and I also have a love for writing. My hope is to turn my passion for writing into a profession when I return to the UK later on in the year.
