Beschreibung

Hi, We are Lara and Georgia. We've been best friends for 8 years. We recently helped out on an ecological lodge , outside Cape town, where we spent some time helping with wood working and learning about eco building. It inspired us to pursue our dream of travelling, working on farms, and cultivating our minds and getting to know ourselves. We are currently volenteering on a organic farm in Byrne Valley for the month. We have been doing workaway for around two months now, so we have gained a little more experience with volunteering.
We are also great spring cleaners!
We have a great love for nature, animals and various art forms- such as writing, photography, and drawing. We're eager to learn new skills and connect with people, animals, and land aswell as give back in any way we can. We take our goals seriously but also embrace our friendly, nurturing, and humorous sides. We are very excited to embark our journey together!

A little bit about ourselves:
My name is Georgia and I am currently working as an educational assistant at a primary school. I also give art class to all the foundation phase students. Enriching kids' minds and hearts became one of my true callings in life and therefore I am studying a degree in education from next year. I believe I have developed many healing and blossoming relationships with children by creating a safe space for them to express themselves freely through art. It has truly been a transcendent experience and became such a big part of my life. Apart from this I have a immense love for writing and reading, my history in anthropology studies fuels this as well. I'm drawn to people, the connections that come along and experiencing different cultures. In my free time I enjoy live music, creating poetry and exploring my surroundings.

I am Lara. I completed my BCom Mathematics degree at Stellenbosch University in 2024. That experience taught me quick thinking, problem-solving, and how to work under pressure. More importantly, it showed me that I am capable of achieving anything I set my mind to!

With that chapter coming to an end, I am now ready to explore other parts of myself. I have always loved the outdoors so having the opportunity to work closer nature is a dream!
As well as spending more time with my creative endeavors such as painting, photography and learning the guitar :)

Lara:
I am an very fast learner and logical thinker - i can help with various task and pick up skills quickly
I also have some experience in computing and coding ( currently learning more of coding as well)
Georgia:
I have extensive experience with child care, working children from infancy through to older ages, as well as in teaching, particularly in helping children learn to read and understand languages such as Afrikaans and English.
I also have experience working with children on the autism spectrum and those with other learning disabilities like ADHD.
My great organizational skills are something I pride myself on.
