Beschreibung

We love to travel and explore. Originally from England (Gavin) and Scotland (Susanne,) we've lived in New Zealand and Western Canada and are now in Nova Scotia. We've taken several long road trips across the US and Europe and have enjoyed travelling in many other parts of the world.
Painting is a new-found passion of Gavin's. He's currently spending as much time as he can sketching and painting landscapes and has now to started to sell some of his artwork.
Susanne is currently working hard learning the art and craft of writing and is a member of two writing groups.
We both love to read, watch movies, and take long walks in our nearby woods and on our local beach.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

We know that we’re older than the average Workawayers! ;-) But we’re both keen and hard-working and we can help with painting and decorating, maintenance, small renovation projects, gardening and with general help around the home. Susanne particularly enjoys painting house interiors and furniture.

We ran a successful Airbnb for seven years so if you have tourist accommodation, we can definitely help with that.

Susanne used to work in finance (she enjoys spreadsheets!) and Gavin used to build websites. We both had first careers in scientific research where we developed a good attention to detail. We are now working on more creative pursuits - landscape painting (Gavin) and writing (Susanne.)

Was noch ...

We are currently looking for a stay in Prince Edward Island as we are thinking of relocating there next year. As well as making valuable savings on accommodation costs, we believe that staying with a Workaway host would help us learn a lot more about life on the island. We have lots of questions and would love to pick your brains. :-)

Ideally, we would like to find a place for mid-October, but late September / early October could also work for us. A length of stay of two weeks would be ideal, but we’re flexible.
