Hello!
My name is Gaia :)
I love to travel the world and discover new cultures. I especially love to meet local people and learn about their day to day lives and I love to try new things!
I also love to be in nature and like to hike, would love to incorporate that in wherever I’ll be if possible and i also like reading and cooking!
i am from a big city and therefore would love to experience a more relaxed and healthy lifestyle, find a way to feel happy and fulfilled in a balanced way where i don't forget my mental health and the little things that make me happy.
i love to learn, experience new things and challange myself and my way of thinking.

Was könntest du arbeiten?
Most of my experience is teaching and guiding kids ages 6-11. I love children, love having fun with them and teaching them new skills.
2 years ago I volunteered and taught kids in Nepal English and basic computer skills and i also worked as an after school and vacation un-formal teacher for kids where we created lots of projects, went hiking and learned about important friendship values through games and discussions.
I also love to ski and have been skiing since i was 3. I have never taught anyone to ski but would love to try and incorporate it.
I am also interested in learning new skills myself and would live to learn more about wine making, farming and carpentry but i am very open to anything new.

Vom Workawayer () für Host (Enjoy gardening in a ...)

This was my first Workaway experience so i wasn't sure what to expect but overall i learned a lot and it was challenging but fulfilling.

vom Host (Enjoy gardening in a ...) für Workawayer ()

These days spent with Gaia have been a real gift for me, and I have been very happy with the work we have done together and also with the friendship that has developed between us.
Gaia is a brilliant girl, helpful and a good listener, she is intelligent and willing and although she is young, she is very strong and helped me a lot during the days… read more she did Workaway here with me.
She contacted me on Workaway several weeks in advance and then we agreed by phone on the final details regarding her arrival.
Right from the start there was great dialogue and we got on very well, she behaved well in every way and above all she helped me a lot with moving all the branches from the pruning of my many olive trees.
We also enjoyed nature, because with the pruning branches we built a big, long fence, like a natural hedge, to keep the wild boars off my property, in a completely self-sustainable and environmentally friendly way!
In addition to visits from the three stray cats that I feed, we also found the two turtles that had gone into hibernation under the pruning branches, which was exciting.
Gaia is an intelligent and polite person, who has travelled a lot despite being young, and is very easy to work with.
She followed my instructions regarding everything, and then we enjoyed long conversations both in the morning and especially after dinner, and it is nice to talk to her.
So I highly recommend this girl for anyone who wants to have an efficient collaboration with a talented and smart person who learns fast and never gets tired!
I am very satisfied with my experience with her and hope to see her again soon, and that Gaia can come back to see how the gardening work on my farm evolves! Sincerely the experience with Workaway truly offers wonderful and unexpected possibilities, something special that is difficult to explain unless you experience it first-hand. With the kind Gaia it was something magical, a very positive encounter from the very first moment. I picked her up at the bus stop of Gavorrano Center, and from the first moment I found a very kind and helpful person, willing to listen, to learn and to share her experience and energy. We had fun together, and in addition to sharing a love of good food, I found in Gaia a great willingness to work, to collaborate, and a desire to fix my farm in the best possible way, making very good use of the time we had. She helped me gardening, and she was also very kind, and without having to ask, she helped me keep the house tidy and clean. I found her to be a very kind and helpful person, and we had fun pruning branches together. I am very happy because I also found in her a friend, and it was nice to talk and tell each other a bit about our lives, our goals, and above all the idea of a totally eco-sustainable farm, an idea that united us from the very first moment. Gaia is very respectful, she understood the important things about the house without the need for me to explain too much, she worked independently in the garden, without the need for me to tell her everything step by step, in short a really intelligent and helpful person. We also had very good breakfasts and dinners together! In short, it was a really wonderful and positive experience which I hope to repeat again. Without a doubt, in fact, beyond all expectations, I was really very happy. We did things calmly, without having to wake up too early, working quietly in the daylight hours, resting and chatting together in the evenings, in complete relaxation. I can't pass judgement, because I'm not in a position to do so, but my impression was so positive that I can't wait for her to come back, perhaps in a little while, to help me, and to see how the situation at my farm evolves, also with the help of the next workawayers to come. Above all, we enjoyed beautiful sunsets together, and we were in great harmony, so my impression of Gaia was exclusively positive and I highly recommend this person for any kind of workaway, because she is very empathetic, intelligent, helpful and willing. Gaia is very flexible and helpful, and I hope to find more people like her on my path, because such a workawayer is truly a fantastic gift, to be welcomed with open arms! Dear Gaia, thank you for everything, I hope to see you again, and I hope your journey will continue in the best possible way. When you want to return to my farm in Gavorrano, I will be very very happy to host you again. Thank you again for everything and see you soon!
