Good Morning, My name is Filippo di Paola, I was Italian in 1966 and I am 58 years old. This is my first time signing up. I would like to participate in Work away because it was in my life plans since August 2022 when I decided to close my last activity/project in North Tuscany between 2017 and 2022. I have just made a trip of about a year in a motorhome (renovated only by myself during this year)from north Italy to the south of Spain, in total autonomy, mainly in wild camping in natural spaces. 1) Technical skills in agricultural work and activities: - Technical professional skills in hydraulics, carpentry and general maintenance, acquired during the first 15 years of my professional activity in Italy and abroad (Technical Service of Italian Cities, Technical Services Tourist Clubs in Tunisia and Italy). - Use of these technical skills in the interior renovation and maintenance of several apartments in France and Spain for which I have written references. - Acquisition, during these last years (2017 to 2022) of a complementary knowledge of the agricultural and forestry sector and the equipment related to it, within the framework of my last project in a rural property (stone house of the 17th century) in 600 meters of altitude in northern Tuscany for which I also have written references. I invested myself there physically and economically to restore part of this large farm with olive trees, woods and abandoned land according to a natural criterion, as well as the planting of a permacultura , the recovery of rainwater, and the renovation of part of the premises, work and cutting of wood, fence of the grounds, etc... I learned to master various agricultural tools , to heat myself, to cook with wood, as well as to familiarize myself with mountain and rural cultures. 2) Skills with animals From my adolescence, I wanted to be an ethologist by training with the books of Konrand Lorenz. I was a volunteer from 14 to 18 years old in an animal shelter that welcomed about 200 cats (cleaning, preparation and food given to cats, help to the veterinarian in treatments) and obtained a diploma from the city of Trieste. I was also at this young age a militant of greepeace. Everywhere I've lived, I've helped all kinds of animals. I have just built several houses for cats in in Besalu ( Catalunia) for an association. I fed various stray cats and adopted one recently I find myself very comfortable with all kinds of animals, even wild ones. 3). I was also a gallery owner in 19/20 century design for about 20 years between Milan, London and France, which allowed me to discover different cultures and practice English, French 4) Practical information: I am of Italian nationality (Italian passport) I have a French European driving license. I have no health problem. I smoke moderately and only tobacco. I am in good physical condition (swimming and diving instructor in my youth). I travel independently with my motorhome, with my new friend the cat Bi Bin who, I hope, will find a home, as felines are not suitable for travel.. I use a pc and two French and Spanish mobile phones, I use WhatsApp. I am not on any social network (Facebook, etc..) by choice. I speak and write in English, French and Italian, I communicate orally in Spanish. I hope I have communicated to you what I am: a concrete person who invests in what she undertakes. Buenos dias, Mi nombre es Filippo di Paola, fui italiano en 1966 y tengo 58 años. Esta es la primera vez que me registro. Me gustaría participar en Work away porque estaba en mis planes de vida desde agosto de 2022 cuando decidí cerrar mi última actividad/proyecto en el norte de la Toscana entre 2017 y 2022. Acabo de hacer un viaje de aproximadamente un año en autocaravana (renovada solo por mí durante este año) al sur de España, en total autonomía, principalmente en acampada libre en espacios naturales. 1) Habilidades técnicas en trabajos y actividades agrícolas: - Habilidades técnicas profesionales en hidráulica, carpintería y mantenimiento general, adquiridas durante los primeros 15 años de mi actividad profesional (entre 1980 y 1995) en Italia y en el extranjero (Servicio Técnico de Ciudades Italianas, Servicios Técnicos Clubes Turísticos en Túnez e Italia). - Uso de estas habilidades técnicas en la renovación interior y mantenimiento de varios apartamentos en Francia y España para los que tengo referencias escritas. - Adquisición, durante estos últimos años (2017 a 2022) de un conocimiento complementario del sector agrícola y forestal y los equipos relacionados con el mismo, en el marco de mi último proyecto en una finca rural (casa de piedra del siglo XVII) en el 600 metros de altitud en el norte de la Toscana de la que también tengo referencias escritas. Allí me invertí física y económicamente para restaurar parte de esta gran finca con olivos, bosques y terrenos abandonados según un criterio natural, así como la plantación de un permaport, la recuperación de aguas pluviales y la renovación de parte de las instalaciones. , trabajo y corte de madera, vallado de los terrenos, etc... Aprendí a dominar diversas herramientas y vehículos agrícolas, a calentarme, a cocinar con leña, así como a familiarizarme con las culturas montañesas y rurales. 2) Habilidades con animales Desde mi adolescencia quise ser etólogo formándome con los libros de Konrand Lorenz. Fui voluntario de 14 a 18 años en un refugio de animales que acogía a unos 200 gatos (limpieza, preparación y comida dada a los gatos, ayuda al veterinario en los tratamientos) y obtuve un diploma de la ciudad de Trieste. Yo también fui a esta corta edad un militante de greepeace. Dondequiera que he vivido, he ayudado a todo tipo de animales. Acabo de construir varias casas para gatos en Tarifa para una asociación. Di de comer a varios gatos callejeros (Besallu, Tarrifa, etc.) y adopté uno. Me encuentro muy a gusto con todo tipo de animales, incluso salvajes. 3) También fui galerista de diseño del siglo XIX/XX durante unos 20 años entre Milán, Londres y Francia, lo que me permitió descubrir diferentes culturas y practicar inglés, francés y francés español. 4) Información práctica: Soy de nacionalidad italiana (pasaporte italiano) y tengo permiso de conducir europeo francés. No tengo ningún problema de salud. Fumo moderadamente y solo tabaco.Tengo buena condición física (instructor de natación y buceo en mi juventud). Viajo de forma independiente con mi autocaravana, con mi nuevo amigo el gato Bi Bin que espero encuentre un hogar, ya que los felinos no son aptos para viajar.. Uso una pc y dos teléfonos móviles francés y español, uso WhatsApp. No estoy en ninguna red social (Facebook, etc...) por elección. Hablo y escribo en inglés, francés e italiano, me comunico oralmente en español. Espero haberte comunicado lo que soy: una persona concreta que invierte en lo que emprende.
