Currently looking for a placement close to the Okanagan Valley for the month of May 2024 ( /- one month stay) and in BC or Alberta for the fall and winter seasons ! Interests: rustic/ranch/farm

Beschreibung

I am a 20 years old woman (don't let that fool you ;) ), hopelessly in love with nature and animals since it brings me so much inside peace. I'm looking for a ranch where I have opportunities to learn about horsemanship and, if possible, wilderness guiding. I'm willing to work very hard in order to get that. I love horses, and I get around pretty well in horseback riding and in caring for them since I have gone to a horse training summer camp and a few ranch Workaways, have had many riding classes and went on survival/precarious trips on horses in the wilderness to go fishing and camping, and since then, I have never stopped being around horses whenever I could. I fish a lot, it is one of my many passions, since I've had the chance to enjoy a family owned cabin in the forest from a young age and fish many fish species( trout, bass, pike, ouananiche salmon(wawa, or locklake salmon), white fish, etc). I study visual arts (sculpture, painting, photography, etc) and consider myself an artist, however, I don't sell my art yet. I have a lot of experience in camping in the wilderness, in canoe-camping and in being in the forest, really. I can cook, clean, organize, work a simple garden, sand, paint, build simple things and I do not mind having to manage simple tasks on my own, otherwise I wouldn't be able to travel around on my own at that young age. I don't know my limitations in terms of physical discomfort, but I am fit and young and hyper, so I guess my goal while working for my host would be to test myself and my limits. I am ready for pretty much anything, I want to learn and gain life experiences, while breathing a different air. I am physically strong and independent, and I want to get more hardworking and strong. What motivates me is variety in my tasks, I get moving when something is new, and having different adventures on a single trip is what brings me joy and motivation! I deeply believe that to make a good worker, there has to be life experience and genuine interest in the work, the people and the environment, so the horse oriented lifestyle and work is pretty much my calling. I'm from Quebec city, so I'm pretty fluent in english, and french is my first language. I have travelled to Europe, USA, Dominican Republic, Canada and in Quebec's and Bc's wilderness. I read often and write a lot, I often sing in bars in my hometown too. Poetry, relationships, psychology, deep conversations, fishing, campfires with music and nature are what brings me peace, as much as it brings me an (always) needed self reflection and hopefully some personal growth. Was könntest du arbeiten?

Housekeeping, animal care(good with horses, dogs, cats and small farm animals), simple living(survival in the forest, camping, fishing), painting and sculpting, I have done farm work and ranch work, I love working outside and I'm looking to learn more about everything you seek or want to teach me. I am an experienced hairdresser and makeup artist but I'm not exactly looking to deepen those abilities. I have driven boats, 4-wheelers, small trucks and cars and because I have only recently stopped travelling, I have a temporary driving license that requires me to be accompanied by another person if I drive the vehicule. I love nature, fishing, hiking, camping, horseback riding and pretty much everything that envolves nature. I have become an okay rider on my last workaway and I'm hoping to get even better at it.

I love singing, writing, creating and I've been a bartender for two years, so I make pretty good drinks! :) I have done dog sledding competitions and my love for the kitchen means I make the best (clearly not but it's close) carbonaras you'll taste (the real ones, not with cream but with eggs and oil, like a true chef!)
