Moi c'est Emmylou, jeune française de 24 ans en quête d'un petit cocon de nature et d'humanité !

Je suis ingénieure du son pour le spectacle vivant, et travaille avec plusieurs groupes de musique en tournée.

Originaire de la campagne Lorraine, je vis depuis 6 ans à Paris pour une certaine facilité professionnelle, mais je ressens depuis trop longtemps déjà le grand besoin de reconnecter avec la nature et retrouver une vie plus simple, et plus saine, et c'est la Bretagne qui m'attire désormais.

Travaillant surtout l'été lors de la pleine saison culturelle, je cherche à rejoindre pour le printemps un lieu, une famille ou une communauté qui saurait partager son petit univers avec moi, en échangeant des moments de travail où je pourrais me sentir utile, apprendre et découvrir, pendant quelques semaines voire quelques mois.

J'ai pour projet de vie de rénover une ferme Bretonne et d'y construire d'abord par mes mains, mon havre de paix, ma maison, puis dans un second temps, un gîte et une salle de spectacle pour accueillir des artistes en résidence dans un écrin de verdure.

J'ai hâte de pouvoir échanger avec vous, et j'espère à très vite !

Hey !

You can call me Emmy !

I am a 24 yo French girl, easy going person, nature lover and sound engineer for live music on tour with bands !

I was born in the countryside from the Northern East of France, and had to leave for my studies. I lived for 6 years in Paris then. I used to love this crazy life in the capital but now, I feel like I need to reconnect with nature, as I grew up with her.

This is one of my firsts experiences on Workaway but I am used to volunteering. It is really meaningful to me to feel useful for other people and causes I believe in as well.

I can easily adapt in any situation, I think I am pretty simple to live with, respectful to anyone and wishing to become a better person learning from the others.

I wish I can try to make the world a better place, on my human scale, by taking part of ecological and ethic projects.

My dream is to build and lead a communitarian eco place to welcome musicians and other artists, open for creation in the middle of nature in Brittany, organize concerts for local people (far from Paris and its craziness) and just enjoy simple life !

I wish I can learn a lot from your project, teach what I can and just share amazing moments !

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I like to use my hands to create/fix/tinker things and my brain to imagine objects to build/decoration.

I wouldn’t say I have special building skills but I am resourceful and I understand quick, so if you show me once, I will probably be able to do it after a bit of practice.

I helped my parents to renovate our house when I was younger.

I love to paint, weld, cut wood, take care of plants.

I am use to carry heavy things so it is not a problem for me.

I am a musician, I play the guitar, the piano, the trumpet, percussions (always tapping myself with body perc…!), so I can also set sound system gear for jam sessions or concerts.
