Hi!
My name is Emelie and I study English Literature and Linguistics at the University of Zurich in Switzerland. In my free time I love to sit down with a coffee and a good book, go for a run, cook a lovely meal, play with my cat or go see my horse. I have been volunteering in Switzerland for the Red Cross for the past 4 years and for my local church for the past 6 years. I mainly work with children, helping them with their homework for school or organizing different excursions for them (e.g. going to the zoo). I would love to spend more time volunteering in other countries which is why I created this account on Workaway. I am looking forward to making some great memories.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I am currently finishing my Bachelors in English literature and linguistic. If you are looking for an English teacher, I believe I would be a good fit. I have the highest educational degree you can get in Switzerland allowing you to go study at different Universities worldwide. This means I can also teach basic math, german (my mother tongue), biology, history, and so on. Since I have been teaching at different schools before, I know how to work with children/ adults and know how to get them excited about studying a new subject/ language. I also worked at a retirement home for a while. I am comfortable talking to and working with elderly people. I have been playing the violin for 16 years and I sing professionally, meaning I can also teach music. I am an organized and creative person. This might be of use if you need help organizing activities for children or big groups of people. I also know my way around a computer and other electrical devices. I am flexible and open-minded. I believe I would be a great fit for all kinds of projects.
