Hi there !
We are Fleur & Eloi, a Dutch-French couple, on a journey since February 2022.
After quitting our jobs, we decided to travel through Asia and Europe to meet new people and cultures but also to volunteer whenever we can. When we come back to France (where we lived), we want to change our life, going from a computer job to more manual work in contact with people, nature, animals.

Therefore, we are quite open about the work opportunities as long as we can put our effort and energy into it.

➼ What could we bring to you ?
First of all, a big smile and some good moments to share together :)

Ⓕ - Fleur is very into food and cooking and enthousiastic about every moment spent in the kitchen. But she is also eager to learn everything and bring her knowledge around gardening in general (permaculture-oriented mainly) and regional specialties related to food.
⁍What does she like? Play music, arts and crafts, cook of course, write, and enjoy good conversations with a good bottle of wine !

Ⓔ - Éloi is also into learning about an alternative lifestyle oriented on permaculture or organic farming and eco-building. He has already worked on those projects and wish to learn more and share his knowledge and lend his hands !
⁍What does he like? DIY projects with wood mainly, immortalize moments with my camera in nature or with people and enjoy good conversations with a bottle of beer ! ;)


➼ What other volunteer work did we do before ?
In France:
⁍ Éloi has worked in refugee camps with the Croix Rouge (Red Cross) among teenagers that fled their country to search for a better life.
⁍ Fleur has been active in the association "ATD Quart Monde" who stands and acts against poverty in our society: she created arts classes as a day occupation.

In our travel:
⁍ Coffee Farm in Nepal: We were involved in harvesting, planting, weeding, processing the coffee beans. The farm had a lot more things to do as they were busy with vegetables, a lot of fruit trees and the building of an outside shower and terrasse.
⁍ Tea Farm in Nepal: a family welcomed us in the East of Nepal to learn and help on their tea plantation. We learnt a lot about picking, processing (drying, rolling, roasting, smoking) the tea leaves. We also worked on various other projects but all related to the exploitation of their garden.
⁍ Pottery in Ladakh, India: Fleur learnt for a couple of days to sculpt and create daily objects from clay.
⁍ Wood carving in Ladakh, India: Éloi spent a week at a wood carving workshop, learning their ancestral technics and using them for little personnal projets.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Fleur loves to cook, has skills in serving (she's been a waitress for 10 years). Nature and animal lover, always looking for new things to learn and putting them directly into practise!
She has been giving art classes in an association towards people in need and has a journalist and sales background. She speaks fluent Dutch, English and French.

Eloi has skills in photography, diy (small wood work), sports, hiking, renovation projects.
He used to work in SEO sector in healthcare in France, and has a general diploma of business and economics.
He speaks English and French fluently, with basics in Spanish.

Was noch ...

Fleur: I like playing music, singing, painting, cooking, doing sport, hiking, being in nature in general.
Eloi: I love hiking and sports as well, and have a particular passion for photography, website management and renovation projects.
We are into playing games as well, such as fast card games or longer board games like Catan, smallworld etc.
Protection of the environnement and the biodiversity are our motivation for the past couple of years.
