Hi! I'm Ellen from Edinburgh in Scotland and have just returned home after backpacking in New Zealand for 2 years. I stayed with several workaway/Helpx hosts during my travels and love it as a way to get to know a place and its people. I'm hoping to carry on the adventure now that I am back home, and explore some more of Scotland where I haven't actually spent huge amounts of time as an adult!

I have worked in conservation previously, particularly on farms, and so I am always interested in outdoor, eco-projects. I also have a lot of experience in customer service roles and love working with people.

I love hiking, camping, skiing, surfing and generally being outdoors and always keen for meeting new people!

I have experience working outdoors, tree planting, habitat surveys/ecology, childcare, customer service, outdoor/environmental education, working in hospitality. I also love cooking, can look after pets and can teach you the one card game that I know!
