**Hi, my name is Lizi, right now from Spain.
I’m looking for my last host of my amazing volunteering trip, from 21th of December until the middle of January. I would like to help a family or work on a farm.**

My great desire is to somehow combine art, psychology and childrearing in one profession, but firstly I would like to gain experience abroad for this.

In my opinion to help people, to hand over knowledge and experiences to each other are one of the greatest things that a human could do.
I have always loved connecting with people, getting to know other points of views, cultures and perceptions. They all add more to me, and I would like to believe that I can add to other people’s life with my mentality.

I love photography, making videos, to do craft-works like sewing and embroidering by hand and Iam happily pass on my knowledge to kids in these activities.
Other things that makes me feel alive: nature, hiking, traveling,reading,dancing and music.

I would be glad if I can help with babysitting and creative play,diy projects, gardening and cooking and I can help around the house as well. My english is in an intermediate level, Iam still learning but Iam also happy to help teaching it.
I would like to improve my spanish and practice it, because I admire the language.

Studies, skills & experiences

- I lived 4.5 months in Cairo, Egypt this year where I worked as an assistant and social media manager for one of my dear friends.

- I worked as a server in a Mexican restaurant, where I learned a lot about how to work in a team, perform under heavy workloads and learnt what good hospitalty means and how to improve it. I also have experience as a waiter and hostess from a 5* hotel's restaurant.

- I studied television and production assistancy for two years at the university, later I wrote articles as a volunteer for a cultural newspaper.

- I am a photographer, this is my passion since I was 12 years old. Street photography and capturing human moments are my favourites.

- I did a pedagogical assistant course and I completed my one-week professional practice in preschool.

- Back home I used to help my mother with gardening often, those are fond memories for me. Im open to learn more about gardening, sustainability and animal care. I love animals, so the more you have at home, the happier I will be.

- I am a fan of every art piece that can be done by hand: sewing, embroidery, painting, drawing, and I would be glad if I can teach these techniques or help with decorating the house.

- Iam still learning english, but I would try my best to teach it for kids and I started to learn spanish that I would like to improve it.

- I like to cook and bake and Im happily show traditonal hungarian dishes for my hosts.
I prefer healthy ingredients.

Vom Workawayer () für Host (Join and help us build our ...)

This was my first Workaway experience and I think I ended up in the best possible place. To my surprise, the very first day started with olive harvesting, so my first 3-4 days was about to making a long-cherished dream come true, and all in Italy!
I spent two weeks on the farm, during which I had the opportunity to help take care of the chickens,… read more paint in Fernando's studio, help Silvia to prepare meals before lunch and dinner, and clean the rented parts of the apartment (which are wonderful masterpieces, by the way). In fact, due to lack of space, I had the opportunity to spend a few days in one of these rooms, which although it was work of luck, I am still very grateful for.
All members of the family are artists, which was a special experience for me. Silvia makes jewelry and I could taste the most delicious homemade Italian dishes because of her. (Especially for her homemade pizza and pasta I would do anything.) Fernando paints, renovates furniture, and in the meantime, they manage the life of the farm. It was uplifting for me to experience how they work together as a team and organize everything precisely so that everything runs smoothly. And if they do encounter some problem, after a little Italian shouting and then laughter everything goes on peacefully.

And I could write a small novel about the place, because it is a miracle. It is worth stopping work (or sleeping) at sunrise and sunset, the landscape always showed different faces in November. The environment alone is equivalent to therapy: mountains, nature and silence all around, the sweetest small villages in the world are all accessible on foot, and fantastic hiking trails.

This place gave me so much more so I would like to highlight a few more things: Fernando helped me a little to learn Spanish, and he helped me immerse in meditation (I couldn’t , but he tried to help😀)I got the chance to work with David, the other volunteer, who through his farming skills, could tell me a lot about animal care, and the life in Switzerland and I got to know his partner, Carma, the sweetest border collie. I got the chance to meet with other members of the family, even celebrate a birthday with them, and learn a little Italian as well.

There were times when I had to work more than 5 hours a day, but there were also days when the work wasn’t physically demanding at all, so I think overall the number of work and free hours were balanced.

(If you come here to work in the winter and you are not handle well the cold temperature, be sure to bring warm clothes, because it can be cold.🥶)

Thank you for everything, I hope I’ll have the chance to go back for a while!
