Hello! ☀️

I’m Élise, and I’ve been on the road for a year and a half now.

🇫🇷 You’ll probably guess my nationality as soon as I speak, my French accent gives it away! But don’t worry, I’m fluent in English and can get by in Spanish too (working on it!).

🛤️🚍 My journey from France to Thailand has been entirely by land (no planes) allowing me to see the world from a unique perspective, one step (or bus ride) at a time.

🌱 I care deeply about animals and the planet, which is why I’m vegan.

🌍💻 I work as a freelance digital marketer, helping others create meaningful content (websites, blogs, social media, and more). I’m also pursuing a PhD, researching the energy and motivation behind activism worldwide—a topic close to my heart.

❤️ I’m looking to contribute to causes that truly matter, however small my role might be.

Over the past year and a half, I’ve had the privilege of rolling up my sleeves and diving into all sorts of volunteering adventures, each one leaving me with unforgettable memories and new skills:

🧑‍🦽 Supporting disabled and autistic people and enjoying their joyful smiles.

🌍 Assisting refugees and learning resilience and humanity from some of the most inspiring individuals I’ve met.

🐾 Caring for animals and perfecting the fine art of petting.

🧗‍♀️ Hosting guests at a professional climbers’ camp ; I may not climb, but I’m a pro at hospitality and good vibes.

🏞️ Helping out at a guesthouse in a natural park ; combining hosting skills with an appreciation for nature’s soundtrack.

📲 Managing social media for NGOs, turning passion into posts that (hopefully) inspired others.

📚 Teaching French and English to kids, where I mastered the universal language of giggles and patience.

🥐 Cooking up vegan delights, from hearty meals to pastries that could win over even the most skeptical non-vegans.

🏡 Building houses and farming ;because sometimes, getting your hands dirty is the best way to learn.

🏕️ "Confort" is not always in my dictionary. I’ve embraced the joys of slow travel :hitchhiking, camping under the stars, and navigating life on buses and trains. It’s been an adventure in appreciating every step of the journey.

In short: I’m easy-going, endlessly curious, and always ready to swap knowledge ; whether I’m learning from others or sharing what I’ve picked up along the way.

I think I am an "easy going" person.

I have lived both in countryside and big cities, I am used to being alone but also being surrounded by many people. I don't need much to be happy, as long as I am in a caring environment.
