Beschreibung

Hi there, we are Jana and Elias from Munich in Germany and we are currently traveling through New Zealand in our campervan. As our journey through the country slowly comes to an end and before we continue to the next destination on our world tour, we would love to spend some time with locals or with people who truly feel at home here. For us, traveling is not only about seeing beautiful landscapes but also about connecting with people and learning from their everyday life.
Since mid November, we have been on the road and have already explored many of the stunning places this country has to offer. Living in a van has taught us to be flexible, creative and appreciative of simple things like a hot shower and a washing machine. At this point in our journey, we are looking for a work exchange where we can contribute our time and energy in return for accommodation (and food) while sharing meaningful experiences along the way.

Elias is 28 and recently left his position in research and development at a laboratory to start a two year trip around the world. He began his journey in Japan and has already gained experience with work exchange projects. He studied brewery and beverage technology, which gave him a strong appreciation for craftsmanship, tradition and constant improvement. He is curious about history, enjoys learning how things work and likes to approach tasks in a thoughtful and practical way. Growing up with a younger brother, he spent a lot of time outdoors camping, hiking and motorbiking and he still feels most at home in nature.

Jana is 29 and works as an event and project manager in Germany, where she is used to organizing, solving problems and keeping an overview even in busy situations. She comes from a big family with five brothers and two sisters and loves spending time with her nieces and nephews, playing, exploring and baking together. Through hosting several exchange students in her family, she gained experience in welcoming people from different cultures into everyday life. Music is an important part of her family and Jana plays piano and enjoys classical singing.

Together, we love being active and spending most of our days outside. We go hiking, try snorkeling, visit local museums and enjoy discovering small cafes for good conversations. Life in the van has also turned cooking into a creative adventure, which we truly enjoy. Family means a lot to us and we value honesty, reliability and mutual support.

We both speak German and English fluently and Jana also speaks some Czech. We are always open to learning new skills, especially in practical and hands-on work and we are not afraid to get our hands dirty. Whether it is helping on a farm, supporting renovation projects, gardening, cooking or assisting with creative ideas, we enjoy learning by doing and contributing wherever help is needed. We are motivated, responsible and excited to share our time, energy and stories with you.
