Ciao! I’m Elena, I am 19 years old and just graduated from my language school in Milan. I am currently on a gap year and can’t wait to meet amazing people and make new experiences!

I am passionate about social issues and the preservation of the environment, I am eager to work in those fields someday.
Whenever it’s possible I like to spent time in nature and go on long walks with my dog.

I love music (particularly rock!), literature, movies and any type of artistic expression; I love to document my travels by taking loads of pictures whit my camera :).
I have a passion for languages and I currently hope to learn French and practice my German.

Workaway seems like the perfect opportunity to explore new places and help me figure my future out by making as many experiences as I can! I want to learn about different places and their cultures, while helping those who make this possible.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

My skills revolve mainly around languages. I have had some experiences tutoring in English and German.

I am also easygoing and patient, and often worked as a babysitter for small children. I have a small brother and a lot of cousins, so I always have to come up with fun ways to entertain them.

Other than that I worked over the summer in a bar as a waitress, which increased my communication and problem solving skills.
I am really determined, so once I have a goal or a task that I need to complete I always go through with it (and quickly too!).

I always want to make myself useful, I don’t like spending time doing nothing, so I am usually really active and ready to help!

Was noch ...

I would really love to be able to work in a project that helps people or the environment . I think that my year off Is the perfect opportunity for me to help and dedicate myself to causes that I believe in.

I do think that cultural exchanges of any kind also contribute in a major way towards a better and more equal future.
