Beschreibung

Both us are secondary school teachers with some experience in a range of skills which may be useful. We have both have experience taking care of a range of animals (dogs, horses etc) and are more than able to do household chores and basic DIY.

Eddie has familiarity with basic gardening machinery and would be happy to drive transport if necessary (he has a full drivers licence in the UK). He grew up in rural farmland in southern Scotland so is very comfortable outdoors; logging, weeding, planting and fencing are all activities he would be happy to contribute to. He is also keen to pick up new skills and will take on painting and odd jobs in and around homes.

Kathy has plenty of experience on building projects (in her own home). Taking care of dogs and animals is a big motivator; most recently Kathy took part in the lambing season on a friend's farm in Yorkshire. Kathy also has taken care of her own dog and travelled with workaway in several countries including Portugal and Japan. As a language teacher (French and Spanish) Kathy is an expert in languages (Eddie speaks decent Spanish too) and would be happy to help hosts with their own skills.

Was noch ...

We both love exercise and the outdoors so exploring the local area will always be a priority!
Eddie loves to read and write so might be found in the evenings with his head in a notebook.
We are looking to learn as much as we can about permaculture and traditional building techniques so if you have knowledge to share we would love to hear it!
