Hi!

I'm Dries, a free spirit who loves to connect and learn from people that live in a completely different culture. An active lifestyle closely connected to nature is where I thrive and find rest. Chasing the waves and surfing all day sounds like paradise to me. I am looking to learn new skills (ecolodging, permaculture, farming, animal care,..) and learn alternative ways of living, as well as just enjoying the NOW. I am a biologist by heart and transformed to a chemical career to fight emissions in port-related activities.

My utopic dream is to create and live in a small community closely connected to nature, semi-self sufficient, surrounded by beautiful connections. To achieve this, I want to experience this lifestyle, connect with similar-minded people and learn from their experience, as well as building experiences together.

I can cook (7+ years restaurant experience), handle animals, learn fast, be flexible and enjoy a variation of manual labour and other activities. Dutch, English and spanish (+/-) are not a problem (also open to learn!). Presentations and organizing/leading group activities comes naturally.

I respect and enjoy living in a different culture, which I learned during International experiences such as my AFS cultural exchange in Peru, Ba Thesis in Tanzania and project management throughout Europe.

Was noch ...

There are little limits and rules besides the ones you impose on yourself. I find joy in discovering and creating my own unique way of loving and living that gives me (sustainable) happiness. I am open to experience different ways of living and incorporating this in my lifestyle, as well as sharing my way of living. Freedom on every level is important and something not to give up easily!

My nonconformist dream is to join or create a community with all my connections. A community that is (semi-) self sufficient, closely connected to nature.
